Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh has appointed two senior Fed economists as advisers: Daniel Kowitz, one of three deputy directors in the Fed’s Division of Research and Statistics, and Eric Enstrom, senior deputy director in the Division of Monetary Affairs. Both are long-serving Fed staffers and will advise on Warsh’s planned operational reforms. The appointments are among Warsh’s first personnel moves since taking office last month. The Wall Street Journal reported he has also hired two conservative policy veterans from outside the Fed and a former George W. Bush speechwriter.
