On the 24th local time, speaking at a meeting of Israel's Union of Local
Authorities, Prime Minister Netanyahu said the IDF will not withdraw from the
'security zone' in southern Lebanon while he remains in office and will maintain
it indefinitely. He said he will never allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
Netanyahu added that Hezbollah remains active, but the IDF has established the
'security zone' in south Lebanon, is systematically destroying its underground
infrastructure and is cutting its ability to cross into the Galilee.
