Speaker of Iran's parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said on June 24 in Baku
that a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States signals a
"US defeat" and reflects the outcome of Iranian resistance. He said efforts to
coerce Iran through military pressure, blockade, psychological warfare and
terrorism has failed, and that the conflict caused heavy losses but
demonstrated Iranian resilience.
