A Pew Research Center poll conducted Feb–May 2026 across 36 countries and 42,151
adults found average global confidence in President Trump’s international
decision-making at 23%. Roughly two-thirds of respondents said they had little
or no confidence. Of 24 countries with trend data, confidence declined in 16 and
rose in none. Overall favorability toward the United States averaged 37%
positive versus 57% negative.
