SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son told shareholders on Wednesday he will work until 70
to pursue AI ambitions, abandoning an earlier plan to hand over the reins at 60
after saying he had become "greedy", and seeking another 10–15 years to chase
artificial superintelligence (ASI). He rejected claims that AI is a bubble as
"desecration", saying current skepticism echoes early doubts about the internet
and that AI's potential is only beginning to be realized.
