presidential war powers was "untimely," adding he has "driven Iran to the brink"
and that Iran is "willing to make substantive concessions." He called the vote
"aid and comfort to the enemy" and said senators had made his job harder but he
would "get it done." The U.S. Senate on the 23rd passed a resolution requiring
Trump to end U.S. military action against Iran and to obtain congressional
authorization before undertaking future military action; the measure had
previously cleared the House.
