China Mobile deputy general manager Li Huidi told the DTW2026 conference
generative AI is driving explosive growth in token traffic, shifting networks
from pure bit transport to combined bit+token delivery. China Mobile is
accelerating network upgrades to supply digital infrastructure for the AI era
and moving operations from manual to automated to autonomous (AI-native); it
said future networks will connect intent to outcomes, understand demand and
create value.
