On June 23 (local time) Paris's Louvre Museum said it will shorten daily hours
from June 24–27, closing at 16:00 instead of 18:00, citing sustained high
temperatures. The museum said heat is accumulating inside the historic building
and, despite some heat resistance, it cannot fully cope with current conditions;
combined with high visitor numbers, overheating is most pronounced in the
afternoon.
