June 23, 2026 — At ISC2026 in Hamburg the TOP500 list ranked the fully
domestically developed Lingsheng system from the National Supercomputing Center
in Shenzhen first, recording 2.19 EFlops sustained double-precision performance.
Lingsheng is the first system to sustain above 2.0 EFlops; the center said it
uses an Online Acceleration architecture and claimed it outperforms US and
European exascale machines, marking China’s return to the TOP500 summit after
nine years.
