On June 23 Prime Minister Netanyahu told reserve combat officers Israel must
break dependence on external suppliers and establish an independent domestic
weapons-production network. He said that despite years of US support, Israel now
needs to manufacture its own weapons. Netanyahu added Israel is confronting Iran
and its proxies and that its future will depend on its own strength.
