ByteDance has launched Seed2.1, a model family aimed at handling complex tasks across daily life, professional workflows and frontier research. Development incorporated internal and external user and developer feedback and was calibrated on real-case scenarios; evaluation now prioritizes performance in actual workflows over static benchmark scores. Seed2.1 significantly enhances general-purpose agent capabilities and strengthens cross-tool and cross-environment task delivery. The models are live in Doubao and TRAE products and the Seed2.1 API is available on Volcano Engine.
