Organizers said the event generated nearly 5.3 bln yuan across film-related sectors and transport, accommodation, catering, tourism and retail, up 5.97% YoY. Catering produced about 1.17 bln yuan and related shopping exceeded 3.0 bln yuan; transport, tourism and accommodation each saw substantial growth. More than 70% of domestic and international attendees traveled to Shanghai specifically for the festival, driving hotel, transport and attraction spending and contributing roughly 2.3 bln yuan to city tourism revenue.
