Qatar and Pakistan issued a joint statement saying the first round of US-Iran
senior-level talks under a memorandum of understanding concluded in Switzerland.
Parties agreed to form a high-level committee to provide political oversight of
the mediation, with chief negotiators reporting regularly; the committee has
agreed on a 60-day timeline to reach a final agreement and to allow immediate
further technical talks. They also agreed to create a coordination group, with
mediators' assistance, between the relevant parties and Lebanon to ensure
cessation of military operations under the MoU; technical talks will continue
this week at Switzerland's Bürgenstock resort on all outstanding issues.
