At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with Shanghai tin up over 8%, lithium carbonate up over 7%, Shanghai silver and European shipping contracts up over 5%, caustic soda, palladium, and platinum up over 4%, Shanghai nickel up over 3%, and low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), iron ore, and soda ash up nearly 3%. On the downside, SC crude oil fell over 2%, while urea, corn, styrene, apples, soybean meal, and starch fell over 1%.
