China’s major futures contracts were mixed by midday, with ethylene glycol
hitting the upper daily limit. Methanol and plastics rose more than 8%,
polypropylene gained over 7% and propylene climbed more than 6%, while benzene
and BR rubber were up more than 3%.
On the downside, polysilicon fell over 4%, while red dates, apples and rapeseed
dropped more than 3%. Caustic soda, aluminum and live hogs declined over 2%.
