Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has risen to its highest levels since early
in the war, as countries secure safe-passage arrangements with Iran.
A total of 21 ships transited over the weekend, including 13 outbound to the
Arabian Sea. Iranian vessels still dominate, though exemptions allowed Iraqi and
Indian shipments to pass.
While volumes remain well below the prewar daily average of about 135 ships,
more nations — including China and Japan — are resuming crossings.
