China Iron and Steel Association said social inventories of five major steel
products across 21 cities fell by 220,000 tons to 11.42 million tons in late
March, down 1.9% from mid-month. Stockpiles were still up 58.4% from the start
of the year and 10.2% higher than a year earlier.
