Microsoft Corp. aims to build cutting-edge AI models by 2027 to rival tools from
OpenAI and Anthropic, said AI chief Mustafa Suleyman.
The company introduced a speech transcription model outperforming rivals in 11
of 25 major languages, though it remains specialized versus broader systems.
Microsoft is expanding compute capacity, including deploying Nvidia GB200 chips,
with plans to scale to frontier-level computing within 12–18 months.
