The Pentagon has presented Donald Trump with a plan to seize nearly 1,000 pounds of highly enriched uranium in Iran, involving ground forces, excavation equipment and building an airstrip to extract the material. Much of the stockpile is believed stored near Isfahan and at Natanz nuclear facility. “This would be one of, if not the largest, most complicated special operations in history," said Mick Mulroy, former deputy assistant secretary of defense. Former officials said the mission could take weeks, require large troops deployments and carry significant risk, including potential casualties and exposure to radioactive material.
