China’s major futures contracts were mixed by midday, with lithium carbonate and
benzene rising more than 5%, styrene (EB) and ethylene glycol (EG) up over 4%,
and tin and butadiene rubber gain more than 3%. On the downside, the
container freight index (Europe route) fell more than 3%, while silver, caustic
soda, coking coal and coated paper declined over 2%.
