At midday closing, domestic futures contracts showed mixed results.
Methanol, synthetic rubber, and asphalt rose over 4%, PTA, PX, and eggs rose over 3%, and polypropylene and staple fiber rose over 2%. On the downside, palladium fell over 5%, platinum fell over 4%, polysilicon and glass fell over 2%, and live hogs fell nearly 2%.
